View over Garnlydan Reservoir and the Ebbw Fach valley

From the southern side of the Mynydd Llangynidr, the moorland descends over the Garnlydan Reservoir, beond which is the A465 'Heads of the Valleys' road, followed by the Ebbw Fach valley meets the main Ebbw Valley at Abertilley.
