Glebe Farmhouse is a Grade II listed building and is a very special old house as it has its own unique friendly ghost. It dates as far back as the 12th Century and has a wealth of history surrounding it. It was originally built for the powerful order of St John of Jerusalem and his Knights.

The accommodation

The Barns are situated in the farm yard and when you relax on the patios, you can enjoy the ambience and spectacular views of such a peaceful and stunning hamlet of North Gower.

This is a brand new conversion of a stone barn. Relax in the king bedroom or charming twin bedroom which have vaulted ceilings and are on the first floor, accessed via a Welsh oak mezzanine walkway. The very comfortable single bedroom on the ground floor is situated next to the bathroom and has easy wheelchair access. All rooms are stylishly furnished with solid pine wardrobes, chests, dressing tables and bedside cabinets. Two bedrooms have a tv with DVD player and two bedrooms have tv with freesat SKY and bedside lamp. A hair dryer is provided. All bed linen is provided. A travel cot, high-chair and baby bath are available at no extra charge. Please bring own linen for the cot.

The kitchen diner has an exposed stone wall and is fully fitted with a dishwasher, washing machine, fridge, separate freezer, electric oven and hob, extractor, microwave, toaster, iron, ironing board etc. The dining area seats 6 and a highchair is available at no extra cost. The bathroom has a walk-in shower with a shaver point at the washbasin. All towels (not beach towels) and a tea towel are provided.

The lounge is open to vaulted ceilings and has two comfortable large leather sofas, smart TV with freesat and a dvd player. A small dvd library is available.

The furnished patio area seats six, has four loungers and has breath taking views down the valley and of Cheriton Conservation Area. Both entrances have ramped access.

The location

Glebe Farm Barns is in the Cheriton Conservation Area. The local award winning restaurant/beer garden/pub is within a 2 minute walk and Llanmadoc Village is just a 10 minute walk away where there is a local Village Shop and Post Office.

Our area

There are lots of country walks from the Barns, Bridge Pottery is within walking distance and so too is St Cadoc's Church.

Notes

Available to let 12 months of the year and short lets are available. There is ample parking.

The barns have been awarded 4 awards - The "Gower Society Design Award 2007", "Highly Commended Award" at the Built In Quality Awards 2007 for "High Standards of Construction and Workmanship" and 2 commendations at the Lord Mayor's Design Wards 2007 for "Best Vernacular Feature in Gower" and also "Best in Category".
